Amid Nursing Shortage, Joyce Proposes 25% Real Estate Tax Rebate Plan

CHICAGO – Mayoral candidate Jerry Joyce announced today a program which would provide a real estate tax rebate of 25% of the total Chicago bill that is imposed on homesteads occupied by physician assistants and nurses. This will help ensure Chicago stays competitive for the best and brightest in the nursing field.

As often stated, the greatness of Chicago resides in its people, and the most cherished of those are the men and women who give of themselves to serve the health needs of others, often at great financial sacrifice. We must insure their ability to live and work in our great city.

Chicago needs great health professionals. Joyce said “this program sends a clear message that we want you to stay- and we want others to come and serve the health-care needs of Chicagoans.”

The rebate would be a straight 25% of the total bill.
