It’s been almost three weeks since we embarked on our mission to transform Chicago. Since then, we’ve taken our campaign to every part of the city. Our message of safer neighborhoods, safe and clean schools and equitable and transparent financial practices resonates throughout Chicago.
Whether it’s Edgebrook, Englewood, Pilsen, Rogers Park…our neighbors’ concerns for safety doesn’t change based on their zip code. In Mt. Greenwood, Chatham, Little Village, Bucktown…access to safe and clean schools for our children is DEMANDED. Neighbors in Chinatown, Avondale, Humboldt Park, Austin…regardless of where they live, Chicagoans have a right to transparency when it comes to their tax dollars.
Through your efforts, our campaign has collected thousands of petition signatures. Our army of volunteers grows daily. Our website is up and running and improvements to it are in the works. We have opened three campaign offices. We will be opening more in the coming weeks and months as our campaign grows.
Our success so far has been remarkable, but we are still in the first quarter of this contest. More than five months remain until election day. I could not, nor would not, have started this mission without the support of so many. I will honor that commitment and support by campaigning vigorously throughout every neighborhood in our city until election day. We started this journey together and we will finish it together, victoriously!
Jannine and I are grateful for your commitment and enthusiasm in this historic campaign and we look forward to the coming months with you as we continue to fight on.
Always better together,
